Last night we had a nice cooler front move through southern Colorado. By cooler, I mean the temps dropped over night, but have warmed up throughout the day. The wind has picked up, not much fun, but we are so used to it. I welcomed the cooler weather, because it makes me want make my soups, and chilis, and all the comfort foods associeted with winter time. Today I'm fixing a pot of beans! We're from the south, and beans and cornbread is a staple in every southern house. Some other regulars are chicken & dumplins, various chili's, stews, and of course chicken noodle soups. And everything needs to have biscuits or cornbread!!! Over the next few days I'm so super excited to make some yummy comfort meals and freezing them for later use. As I play around with this blog, I hope to learn how to post menu ideas, recipes, and tons of time and money saving ideas! Looking forward to embarking on this journey!!!
