The Tooth Fairy

Well, I'm no perfect parent. I doubt I get mom of the year. In fact I probably will get conveniently skipped over on mother's day this year.  For 3 nights now, the tooth fairy has failed to come visit my eight year old.  He is very discouraged about this, as he should be.  I mean, lets face it, all he wants is the money.

Around Christmas we had to deal with the whole Santa is he real or not, and I know most of my friends kids know there is no Santa.  But at our house WE BELIEVE! So I assume that there has been talk of the actual reality of St. Nick, but we sent him an email and he video emailed us back!  Completely personalized and everything.  It was really cool, and Santa even addressed the issue of Austin's friends not believing.  He then danced with Jackson the exact way Jackson dances with our life-size Santa here at home.  Needless to say, Austin's belief was restored, now mom has to crush him and forget his teeth under his pillow.

Geesh!!!  The really bad thing is the tooth fairy always forgets! You would think after the loss of about eight teeth the tooth fairy would remember.  Apparently not.  so what do you do?  Make up some fictitious story about how you think the tooth fairy forgot?  Bad weather, mom was up all night and scared her away, or my all-time favorite, if you don't sleep in your own bed on top your own pillow the tooth fairy won't come.  I am seriously starting to doubt my self.  Wow!  This tooth fairy better get their act together quick!  There are two more kids that will start losing teeth in the next 2-3 years.

Well, we are going to email the tooth fairy today.  Give all our apologizes, state our case, in hopes that the tooth fairy will not disappoint, yet another night in a row.

To be continued.........
